Introduction:

I still can remember that cool October night that the

stunning little colt was born. I was there watching my

mare, Regina, give birth to the prettiest little piebald

foal. I laughed at his first feeble attempt on his wobbly

legs, and watched as he took that first drink of

colostrum,it was me that named him Mysterious Skipper.

I admired the beautiful boy right from the beginning I

wanted him to be my precious pony. I had wonderful

dreams of taking him on treks, winning shows, jumping,

riding through forests and along the beach. I couldn’t

wait to break him in.

But something was wrong

. . .

Skipper is now a two year old gelding, separated from

his mother. He gets more and more beautiful every day.

His long flowing mane is amazing. But boy! Does he have

an attitude problem!!

He seems to think that if he gives

in to my authority I will ruin his life. He can not and

will not see that the boundaries are for his own good. He

doesn’t realize my plans and dreams. I am his owner and

he cannot change that. But he will not accept that.

We have had two different wranglers come and work with

him to try and make a difference, but with no positive results.

It is very frustrating. But I fear for him. What of his

future? The way he is now…

he is worthless.
