Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
2012 years ago, on a cold evening, Jesus Christ was born in a manger… he was rejected at the inn - it was too full. Instead he was pushed outside into the cattle shed and born in a manger…. How often people do the same to Jesus today. We put him in the ‘manger’ of our lives … we don’t want him in the ’Inn’ where all the publicity is…
There is no room for him in our everyday life… we are too busy, and we can’t be bothered with him.
Is this the treatment Christ deserves?
He gave up his entire life for people… right from the young age of twelve years old he was about “His Father’s business” and then in the middle of his life he died for us… he laid down his life completely for our sakes ..and it only right that we do the same, if fact he tells us to do the same.
Mat 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mat 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Don’t put Jesus in the manger of your heart, that is limiting what God can do through you.
Instead let him in to the ‘inn’ fully surrendered to His will and let Him use your life for His Glory.
