God is Not Dead

Katie Luther was desperate. Her husband was getting more depressed every day. Nothing could cheer him any more, not even the news that Katie was pregnant again.
After praying for a long time, Katie had an idea. She dressed up in black and bookmarked a few passages in the Bible.
Martin Luther looked at her in astonishment when he saw her. “What's wrong with you?” he asked.
Can't you see I'm in mourning?” she asked, forcing a sob.
Who's dead?”
A very important person.” She blew her nose and wiped her eyes.
Who?”
God!”
You mean the heavenly Father?”
That's right.” She nodded. “Yes, God is dead. D-E-A-D!”
Luther frowned. “Who told you that?”
You!”
When?”
Because of the way you've been dragging around for the last few weeks, I've decided that God is dead.”
Oh, Katie!”
Then she went on to tell him the mistakes she had found in his translation of the New Testament.
He was horrified.
She said, “You have a favorite verse, “All things work together for good.” That is wrong. The correct translation is few things work together for good.”
And who is your authority?”
A brilliant man by the name of Dr. Martin Luther!”
She got her point across.
But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. Jeremiah 10:10
For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. 1Timothy 4:10
Our God is a living God! He hears our prayers and He keeps His promises. Do we live like we believe it?
What does our life show to the world? That God is dead or God is alive?
