Dictionary Game

Object of the game:
The object of Dictionary is to learn new words and to trick people. You need at least 4 people to play, but the more people that play the better!
Supplies Needed:
One dictionary
Small note sized pieces of paper (like Post It Notes)
Pencils
How to Play:
Decide who will go first. This person is the Reader for this round of the game.
One person will need to keep track of the points for each player.
The Reader opens the dictionary to a random page. They have one minute to pick a word from that page. (The most unusual words are the best!) The Reader reads the word out loud, then spells it – but they do not tell what the word means.
Everyone secretly writes down what they think the definition of the word is. The more the word sounds like a dictionary definition, the better chance you have to fool everyone! The Reader writes down the real meaning of the word on his or her own piece of paper. It’s important to write neatly so the Reader can read what you wrote!
Everyone gives their made up definitions to the Reader, who mixes them up and reads them, including the real meaning of the word. Everyone (except the Reader) votes for his or her choice of the real meaning of the word.
The Reader then tells what the real definition of the word is, and points are given out as follows:

Each player who chooses the correct meaning of the word gets 2 points.
Each player gets a point for every vote of his or her made up definition.
If no one votes for the real definition, the Reader gets 2 points.
The Reader then gives the dictionary to the next player, and the next round starts. You can play to 10 points, 20 points, or whatever – just say before you start!

The Peg Game

Great Icebreaker Game
Everybody has 5-10 clothespegs each. When you say go, everyone must try to get rid of their pegs by pegging them on somebody else's clothes. You also must get rid of the pegs that get pegged on you at the same time. The first player with no pegs left, in their hand or on their clothes, is the winner!

Balloon Stomp

This is a great way to burn off some energy, and works well if you have a large space like a rumpus room or empty garage.
Tie a piece of string to each balloon, and then tie one balloon to the ankle of each guest. Everyone then runs around trying to stomp on other peoples balloons, while at the same time trying to protect their own. This game could potentially end in lots of stomped feet, so it’s a good idea for everyone to remove their shoes first.

Chocolate game

You will need:
A wrapped bar of chocolate A plate A knife and fork Some dressing-up items (at least a hat, scarf and gloves) Two dice

Dice Game

Dice Game
Everyone needs a piece of paper. Sit in a circle. Have one pen in the middle of the group. You need one dice. Pick a number on the dice. Everyone takes turns shaking the dice and when someone rolls the chosen number they grab the pen and quickly start writing numbers down--starting from 1 eg. 12345etc. While they are writing numbers down as fast as they can, the dice will be going around the circle again. As soon as someone else rolls the chosen number, they grab the pen and it's their turn. The winner is the first player to get to 50 or whatever number you choose. It just depends how long you want the game to go on for. A very fun game!

Have You Ever?

Have you ever??

Everybody sits on their own chair in a circle except for one person who stands in the middle. The person in the middle says, "Have you ever ....?" eg. fallen off a horse etc. Everyone who has done that has to jump up and find another seat. That gives the person in the middle a chance to find a seat. Whoever is left without a seat stands in the middle and asks again, "Have you ever...?"

Why? Because!

Why? Because!
Everyone needs a pen and piece of paper. Everyone writes a 'why' question on their paper. They fold the paper over so no one can see their question and then they pass it to the next player. On the piece of paper that's now been passed to them, they write a 'because' answer. They pass it along to the next person and everyone opens their paper up and reads out the question and answer.
The result can be hilarious!
