The Ugliness of Sin

Sin is such an ugly thing--

Oh, the guilt and shame it brings.
It might seem like fun at first--
But in the end it really hurts.
Our sin nailed Jesus to a cross;
The pleasure of sin isn't worth the high cost.
Sin can give you dreadful scars--
Your testimony it will mar.
Sin sends people off to jail;
Sin makes people suffer in Hell.
Sin ruins families—tears marriages apart,
It leaves behind many with a broken heart.
Sin leaves babies with no fathers they know,
Oh, sin causes so much sorrow.
God gave us rules because of His love--
He doesn't want our life to be so rough.
If only we'd listen before it's too late,
If sin we'd only learn to hate.
Sin is such an ugly thing--
Just look at all the trouble it brings.
