Genesis 2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
God
created you a woman—a beautiful female. You are completely
different from a guy. Not less than-- just different. You are
created to do different things, to look different etc.
Don't
despise the fact that you are a woman. Don't try to be like a guy, act
like a guy and look like a guy.
God made you a female and God doesn't make mistakes!
I heard a preacher say he didn't want his boys to dress in style because “The world's style is masculine girls and feminine guys.”
Girls
are ashamed to be girls—who God created them to be.
Guys
are ashamed to be guys—who God created them to be.
I heard another preacher say, "I have 3 sons and they're all boys!" When everyone laughed he said something like "Well, you can't always tell these days."He's right. You can't always tell these days which are the girls and which are the guys. But that's not the way God intended it.
We
are all different—some love girly colours, dresses, jewelry, accessories
etc. and some are naturally more tomboyish. But no matter our own unique tastes, we
should be proud of the fact that we are a woman. We should try to act and look like a woman.
Never be ashamed—be thankful you're a girl!
Just so you know who is writing this post---I
am naturally the tomboyish type! When I was around 8 or 9yrs I remember
picking out a blue bike helmet rather than a purple one because I didn't want to look too
girlish!! I have never liked dressing up, wearing lacy things,
handbags, hats, scarves or even jewelry. Well, I have tried wearing
jewelry, but every necklace I ever wore I broke because I forgot I
was wearing it! In fact I found a necklace some time ago and wore it. My husband said it didn't suit me!! It was probably the first time he had seen me in one since our wedding day 51/2 years ago. I remember my mum being surprised once that I was
wearing a pink jersey! I have changed a bit over the years and
although I am still plain and practical and always will be, I do make
an effort to look feminine. Because... God made me a woman and He
knew what He was doing!
Guys
need women who are women, not women who are trying to be men! God
made Adam and Eve different—to fill each other's needs.
