The Fruit of the Spirit

If you were God, what method would you choose to produce bigger love in your life? Wouldn't it be to place quite near to you someone who is very hard to love? Where do you think bigger joy develops best? Isn't it right in the midst of despair? What's the most effective way to increase the growth of peace? Isn't it by introducing turmoil and trial? And how does longsuffering become mature? Isn't it through enduring pain and heartache? These are only 4 of God's "fruit of the Spirit." If you do have any of them, how did they develop?

You will probably have to admit that your times of greatest spiritual growth have been your times of greatest hardship.
